Welcome to the Rural Preservation Coalition website. Our goal is to provide information on projects that are affecting communities throughout central Florida and especially lands included in the designated Rural Protection Areas in Lake County, Florida.
Many land development projects are rapidly changing the character of the countryside, negatively affecting rural communities, diminishing wildlife habitat, increasing traffic, negatively affecting established communities in small towns, and resulting in a host of other issues related to the encroachment of suburban and urban sprawl.
